Naval VAMOSC has shifted to using a single inflation index, the GDP Price Index, to make Then Year Dollar to Constant Year Dollar calculations. These factors are found in Table 10.1 - Gross Domestic Product and Deflators Used in the Historical Tables: 1940-2029 on the White House Website and replaced the Joint Inflation Calculator which provides raw appropriation escalation indices. The GDP Price Index factors currently used can be found under Documentation>General.
Please Note: Naval VAMOSC data sources and providers have categorized the submitted data as Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) therefore all data contained, presented, and extracted from the VAMOSC database is now considered CUI. It is the responsibility of all users to ensure information extracted from Naval VAMOSC is appropriately marked and properly handled in accordance with DoD Instruction 5200.48.
